Morning quad safari and Bedouin village visit in Hurghada
If you want to escape the hotel for a bit and see the real desert, this half-day program is the perfect choice. You don’t have to sacrifice your whole day: we go quad biking in the morning hours, before the peak heat, so you’ll be back at the hotel by noon.
“This is what the program looks like:”
Departure: Between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned bus and take you to the desert quad center.
Preparation: Everyone gets a helmet, and the tour guides will show you how to operate the quads. Don’t worry, driving them is very simple, and no prior experience is necessary.
Quad in the desert: A one-hour ride follows among the dunes. On the way, we stop for a short photo break at the foot of the sandy dunes.
The Bedouin village: We arrive at a desert Bedouin camp where we rest in the shade, you can taste the local Bedouin tea, and anyone who wishes can also go for a short camel ride.
Return journey: After the break, we cross the desert back to the base with a faster-paced, 25-kilometer quad ride, from where the bus will take you back to your hotel.
Practical information:
When does it start? Every day.
How long does it take? The program itself is about 3 hours long; including transfers, you will spend about 4 hours away.
When will you be back? Around noon, between 11:30 and 12:00, you will already be back at the hotel.
What to bring? Sunglasses, closed shoes (quad biking is not allowed in flip-flops), and a desert scarf (shemagh) against the dust. If you don’t have one, you can buy one at the base for a few euros, where they will also help you tie it.
